This policy explains what we collect when you use mentumi, why we need it, and what you can do about it. We collect only what we need to teach you and to run your membership.
1. Who we are

- Quiz answers: what you want to learn, your level and how you like to learn — we use them to build your plan.
- Learning activity: lessons you open, answers to quick checks, your progress.
- Mentor conversations: the messages you send to your AI mentor and its replies.
- Messages to support, including the contact form.
What we collect automatically
- Device and browser information, IP address and approximate location derived from it.
- How you use the site: pages visited, buttons clicked, errors that happen.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see “Cookies” below.
Payment information
Payments are handled by our payment providers. We receive the result of a payment, the plan, the amount and the last digits of your card — never the full card number.
3. How we use it
- To create your account, build your learning plan and show your progress.
- To let your AI mentor answer your questions in the context of the lesson.
- To take payments, renew your membership and send receipts and renewal reminders.
- To answer your support requests.
- To keep mentumi safe, prevent fraud and fix errors.
- To understand which lessons work and improve them.
- To send you tips and product news — only if you said yes, and you can stop them anytime.
4. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
- Contract — to give you the lessons and membership you signed up for.
- Consent — for marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw it anytime.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure and improve it, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — to keep payment and tax records.
5. AI mentor conversations
Your AI mentor is powered by a third-party AI model provider, [AI model provider]. When you send a message, we pass it to that provider together with the lesson context so it can generate a reply.
Please do not share sensitive personal information — like health or financial details — with your mentor.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers are outside the European Economic Area or the UK. When data leaves those regions, we use safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your account and learning data while your account is open. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymise it within [Retention period], except payment records we must keep by law.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- stop or limit some processing, or object to it;
- send your data to you or another service in a usable format.

11. Deleting your data
To delete your account and your data, write to support@mentumi.com from the email linked to your account. We will confirm when it is done. Cancel your membership first, so you are not charged again.
12. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
13. Children
mentumi is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we will delete the account.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change matters for you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
